Med 360°
Greater efficiency when importing external imaging data with easy2PACS
With easy2PACS, Med 360° significantly accelerated the import of external imaging data while substantially reducing the manual workload for staff at its radiology sites and central IT department.
Operating numerous radiology locations across Germany, Med 360° explains how easy2PACS simplifies the import of QR codes and CDs, automates workflows, and noticeably reduces the workload for both front desk staff and the PACS team.

Tell us about Med 360°.
Med 360° is a nationwide provider of healthcare services with numerous locations and a broad portfolio of diagnostic and therapeutic specialties. In radiology, we rely on modern IT solutions to continuously optimize workflows and provide our employees with powerful tools for their daily work.
What challenges did you face before implementing easy2PACS?
Before introducing easy2PACS, CDs were imported directly at the import workstations at each site. QR codes were forwarded to our central IT department (PACS team) via our ticketing system or email. When working remotely, the links had to be entered manually. In the office, they were scanned using a handheld scanner. At times, we also used a custom-developed tool, but it was not reliable, resulting in considerable additional effort. We later switched to another solution, but it was only capable of importing one QR code at a time.
Why did you choose easy2PACS?
The key factor was the ability to perform imports directly at our individual sites, thereby relieving the workload of our central IT department. We compared several providers, and easy2PACS stood out thanks to its seamless integration with our VISUS PACS, its extensive administration options, and the fast support. We were particularly impressed by how quickly new patient portals can be integrated whenever needed.
How was the implementation of easy2PACS in your daily operations?
easy2PACS was installed by our IT department at each individual site. Afterwards, every site received dedicated training from our PACS team via Microsoft Teams. The user training took place directly at the import workstation, allowing staff to learn the system in their familiar working environment.
How quickly were you able to use the solution, and did you encounter any challenges during implementation?
The first site went live in early February 2026. easy2PACS was then rolled out step by step to the remaining locations. The main challenges involved site-specific network configurations, the procurement and distribution of handheld scanners, and scheduling the training sessions. Overall, however, the implementation went according to plan.
How has easy2PACS improved your daily workflow?
The biggest change is that our front desk staff can now import QR codes independently. Previously, they first had to create a ticket for the central IT department. This intermediate step has been eliminated entirely.
As a result, both our front desk staff and our IT team in Leverkusen save considerable time and work more efficiently. The PACS team is significantly relieved and can focus on its core responsibilities. External imaging studies are available much faster because front desk staff can import them immediately, which also has a positive impact on reporting by our radiologists.
How quickly can you now import QR codes and external imaging data?
Today, external imaging data can be imported within just a few minutes. Before introducing easy2PACS, this process typically took between 20 and 40 minutes.
How have your employees responded to the new solution?
We have received exclusively positive feedback from all connected sites.
What specific benefits have you experienced with easy2PACS?
easy2PACS has significantly streamlined our workflows. Imaging data is available much faster, and both our site staff and central IT department benefit from a noticeable reduction in workload. Referring physicians also benefit from faster access to imaging studies. In addition, the integration with the worklist and patient ID makes it much easier to locate imaging data.
Was there a particular moment when you realized, “This is really worth it”?
One feature that stands out is the ability to import multiple QR codes simultaneously in different tabs. This saves a significant amount of time in our daily work.
Would you recommend easy2PACS? If so, why?
Absolutely. easy2PACS impressed us with its intuitive user interface, straightforward installation and integration, and extensive configuration options. Above all, the automation of the import process has made our daily work considerably easier.
